Navamedic generics

Navamedic aims to become one of Scandinavia's top suppliers of generic drugs. Navamedic’s expertise in the generics area is unrivalled in the Nordic region. Management has been involved in the generics sector since its beginning and has more than 100 years of combined generics experience.

In Feb 2010 Navamedic partnered with one of the world’s largest manufacturers of generic drugs - Aspen Pharma (SA). The agreement gives Navamedic exclusive rights to market and sell Aspen products in the Nordic and Benelux countries. Aspen product portfolio contains close to 1 000 products.

Navamedic has currently 15 products in various stages of the registration process. We are evaluating several other potential product candidates for the future. Our theoretical pipeline consists of at least 200 molecules.

Our first product launches of generic products will be in late 2011 and throughout 2012. We have developed a business model for the Nordic countries. Key factors in this model is first-rate regulatory, efficient logistics and a professional local marketing organization. Through our subsidiary Vitaflo, Navamedic is one of the few generic companies that have a strong sales force in place in all the Nordic countries.

Original medicines require extensive research and development work at huge costs. With limited R&D costs involved, the consumer can save up to 50% on product price
and a shift towards generics is encouraged by authorities.
